MyCAA Approved Courses!
The My Career Advancement Account, or MyCAA, Scholarship is a workforce development program that provides up to $4,000 of tuition assistance to eligible military spouses. The scholarship assists military spouses in pursuing licenses, certificates, certifications, or associate degrees necessary to gain employment in high-demand, high growth portable career fields and occupations. Spouses may use their MyCAA Scholarship funds at any academic institution approved for participation in the scholarship.

So, who's eligible? Spouses of service members on active duty in pay grades: E-1 to E-9, W-1 to W-3, O-1 to O-3, who have successfully completed high school and have the ability to request tuition assistance while their military spouse is on Title 10 military orders are eligible. Spouses married to members of the National Guard and reserves in these same pay grades are eligible.
Spouses can visit the My Career Advancement Account Scholarship website here and provide the required spouse profile information. All scholarship participants are required to us DS Logon to access their account. Military spouses enrolled in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System, or DEERS, are eligible for a DS Logon account.

The Army Credentialing Assistance (CA) Program, often referred to as ArmyCA, is a valuable benefit designed to support eligible Soldiers in obtaining industry-recognized civilian credentials and licenses. This voluntary, off-duty program helps enhance your skills, boost competitiveness within the Army, support career progression, and improve opportunities for meaningful employment during service or after transitioning to civilian life.$2,000 per fiscal year, though limits can vary by policy and component—check current details via official sources) to cover eligible costs such as:
- Training courses
- Exams
- Books and materials
- Certain fees
- Recertifications
- Medical Assistant — Prepares you for roles in healthcare settings, including patient care, administrative tasks, and clinical support.
- Texas Real Estate License — Provides the education and preparation needed to obtain a real estate salesperson license in Texas, opening doors to careers in property sales and management.
- Professional Medical Coder — Trains you in medical coding practices (e.g., aligning with certifications like CPC from AAPC), essential for accurate billing and record-keeping in healthcare.
